1Who we are

My Maid Website ("we", "us") is operated by Company name, a company registered in country at business address. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy, which means we decide how and why it is used.

If you have any questions about this policy or your information, contact us at contact email.

2Who this policy covers

This policy explains how we handle personal information about:

  • visitors to our website;
  • people who create a free preview of a website ("preview users");
  • people who pay for a subscription ("customers").

It does not cover visitors to the websites our customers publish using My Maid Website. Each of those websites has its own privacy policy, and the business that owns the website is responsible for it. When a visitor sends a quote request or contact message through a customer's website, the customer is the controller of that information and we process it on the customer's behalf, as set out in our Terms of Service.

3The information we collect

Information you give us when you create a preview. Your answers to our questions about your business (for example business name, services, the towns and cities you cover, phone number and address, and why customers choose you), any logo you upload, your first name and your email address.

Account and billing information. When you become a customer, your account email and subscription details. Card payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number; we only receive limited details such as the card brand, the last four digits and the expiry date.

Domain information. If you register a domain through us, the details the domain registrar requires, such as your name, address, email address and phone number.

Website content. The text, images, reviews, FAQs and other content you add to your website through the client panel.

Communications. Emails and messages you send us, and records of the emails we send you.

How you found us. If you arrive from an advert or link, we record the source (for example the advert or campaign) against your preview and subscription.

Advertising information. If you arrive from one of our Google adverts, we use Google Ads, through Google Tag Manager, to measure whether you went on to create a preview or subscribe. This uses cookies and identifiers such as an advert click ID.

Usage information. We use Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager, to understand how our website is used, for example which pages are visited and how people move through our preview form. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you view.

Login and security records. Records of sign-ins, such as the time, IP address and device information, used to keep accounts secure.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run My Maid Website, and only as much as they need. These include providers of:

  • website analytics and advertising.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business, in which case the new owner would be bound by this policy.

6International transfers

Some of our service providers are based in, or store data in, the United States and other countries outside the UK. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, we make sure it is protected by an approved safeguard, such as the UK-US Data Bridge, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

7How long we keep your information

  • Previews: a preview expires 90 days after it is created. We delete expired previews after period. If you become a customer, your other previews are deleted.
  • Customer accounts and websites: kept while your subscription is active, and for 180 days after it ends so you can reactivate. After that, your account and website are deleted.
  • Billing and tax records: kept for 6 years to meet our legal obligations. Payment records are also held by Stripe under its own policies.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

  • ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information;

  • object to us using your information based on our legitimate interests, including for marketing;
  • ask for your information in a portable format.

To use any of these rights, email contact email. We will respond within one month. Some rights have limits, for example we may need to keep billing records for legal reasons.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

10Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, sign-in by secure email link rather than passwords, and restricted access to our systems. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you and the ICO about a serious breach where the law requires it.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will tell customers by email before they take effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
